Handy tool for connecting telecommunications wiring in insulation-displacement connectors.
Product Overview
This impact type punch down tool is used by telecommunication and network technicians. In one motion it presses a small solid core wire into an insulation-displacement connector and neatly snips off the end of the wire. For those unfamiliar with telecom wiring, you will find these kinds of connectors inside the junction box where telephone wires enter your home or in a keystone module for network cables.
This punch down tool uses a scissor action to cut wires rather than a chisel point. Includes a small flat-head screwdriver and a wire hook that fold into the sides of the tool.
