The adhesive bond of these strips depends on complete cleaning and preparation of the application surfaces of your iMac case and display assembly.

Before installation:

Remove all previous adhesive and residue
Clean application surfaces with 90% (or greater) isopropyl alcohol

Without proper surface preparation the adhesive bond may fail and severe damage to your iMac may result.
